Specialist knowledge on a given topic is often a condition for the proper and reliable conduct of a court trial. It allows you to determine the facts and properly assess the evidence. The author points out that in most countries of the world this knowledge is presented in opinions prepared by experts. In Poland, Advisory Teams of Court Specialists are established pursuant to the Act of August 5, 2015. These institutions bring together specialists from various fields, and their task is, among others, preparing opinions, conducting mediation ordered by the court, conducting environmental interviews.
As the author points out, in Europe there are also such diagnostic teams that deal with giving opinions on family and juvenile law cases. Dr. Ilona Grądzka presents examples of such solutions that operate in France, England and Wales.
