In this expert opinion, Dr. hab. Jacek depends points out that in Russia, the organization and functioning of family courts are part of the entire judicial system. It was based on constitutional principles regarding the administration of justice. They are created at the federal level as well as at the level of entities of the Russian Federation under the name of „peace courts”. In his work, the professor presents the organization of the judiciary in Russia, what instance and extra-instance proceedings in family matters look like, as well as who and how supervises judgments in the field of this law.
It also raises the interesting issue of non-state judiciary, i.e. Sharia judiciary.
